Why this matters

ECDSA is not quantum-safe

Every Ethereum EOA is secured by an ECDSA keypair on the secp256k1 curve. Shor's algorithm, on a sufficiently large fault-tolerant quantum computer, derives the private key from the exposed public key in polynomial time.

Your public key leaks on first send

Addresses are hashes, but the public key is revealed the first time you sign a transaction. Once revealed, every dormant wallet with a visible pubkey becomes a sitting target on Q-Day.
